Local Solutions, Not Party Politics

My Bio

I serve as the Community Organizer for California City with the Dolores Huerta Foundation. With a deep commitment to community advocacy, I have worked in the non-profit sector since 2017. My passion for social change began when I started volunteering with SEIU Local 2015 in Los Angeles, where I fell in love with the meaningful impact I could make in the lives of Long Term Care Workers (LTCW).

During my time with SEIU 2015, I played a key role in campaigns that successfully increased wages for LTCWs across California. I also helped expand access to healthcare benefits and championed the creation of diverse, ethical, and transparent work environments for 21st-century workers. My leadership is grounded in vision, understanding, clarity, and agility—qualities that help me thrive in an ever-evolving world.

Through my work, I have helped build community partnerships that embrace innovation and education. Under my influence, SEIU Local 2015 and LTCWs have gained quality jobs, livable wages, retirement security, and greater respect through collective power and advocacy.

Before my organizing work, I was a Behavioral Therapist working with autistic children. I specialized in behavior modification strategies that addressed actions by understanding their triggers and outcomes. My dedication to improving lives through direct service and compassionate care laid the foundation for my ongoing work in social justice.

I also served in elected office in Los Angeles County for four years, further demonstrating my commitment to civic leadership and public service. I have been instrumental in flipping districts and helping elect a mayor, showcasing my strategic acumen and dedication to progressive political change.

I firmly believe that the world is moved forward by acts of love, generosity, and service to one another—a philosophy that continues to guide my work in communities across California.
